5th CREST Summer School 2018
The CREST Summer School was so interesting, engaging and useful. It has given my research efforts a welcomed boost and has illuminated the way towards helping my research to be purposeful and implementable.
PhD candidate, Glyndwr University, participant at the 2017 Summer School.
The CREST Summer School, now in its fifth year, will feature speakers from Ipsos Mori, the British Academy, NCVO, Vitae, Figshare, and the British Library. We have again arranged for a visit to the Wellcome Library and Collection. Further speakers will be announced as they are confirmed.
This year, the event will be held in a new venue, the spacious and bright Mary Ward House Conference Centre in Tavistock Place, London WC1H 9SN.
Who can come?
The Summer School will be open to PhD students only.
Two student places are available for each CREST member institution. Institutions will arrange selection of candidates for the school.

As in previous years, participants will be responsible for the cost of and making their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
CREST will be covering most food and drink during the course of the school, including an evening dinner and social at The Parcel Yard in Kings Cross.
We would like to receive the names and contact details, including an institutional email address, of those you wish to attend by the 30th June. Please send these to email@example.com
We will send a booking form direct to the students for completion. The deadline for the receipt of student booking forms will be Friday 13th July.
We will also require an abstract of 300-500 words describing their research project from each student. These should reach us by 27th July at the very latest.
Abstracts will be circulated as part of an anthology which really helps participants identify common ground, and facilitators to tailor their presentations to who is in the room.
Any other queries?
